1. When are site plan, variance, and conditional use applications due?

Site plan, variance, and conditional use applications are due on the 1st working day of the month.

2. When will my application be heard before a board?

The Board of Adjustment meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month. The Planning Board meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Applications that require City Council approval will be heard by the City Council in accordance with their scheduled meetings.

3. Do I need to submit an electronic copy of Planning application packets?

Yes. All applications require an electronic copy. The Planning and Redevelopment Department forwards the electronic copy of the application packets to various departments for review.

7. I would like to annex my property into the City of Oldsmar.

Any property that shares a boundary with a property already in the city is eligible for annexation. City staff will assist you in the preparation of your application. The application fee for West Oldsmar Annexations has been waived. 9. What is the Town Center?

The Town Center is the City of Oldsmar's Community Redevelopment Area or "downtown". It is generally the area between Tampa Road, Bayview Boulevard, and St. Petersburg Drive. Additional information can be found on the city website Community Redevelopment Agency.

10. What is a temporary use permit?

Temporary use permits are administrative regulations intended to provide orderly and effective management of temporary land uses not provided for in the district where the proposed use is located. Such uses are often found to be necessary and desirable for limited periods of time while they might not be keeping with the intent and purpose of the land uses established in article III of this Code, if allowed on a long-term basis.

11. How much is a temporary use permit?

Fees for temporary use permits, by use and class of use, shall be established from time to time by resolution of the city council. The city manager, at his discretion, may waive the established fee for temporary uses that are city sponsored or sponsored by civic or nonprofit organizations. The city manager may, in determination for a fee waiver request, require documentation establishing an organization's civic and/or nonprofit status.
