Purpose

The Veterans Advisory Board makes recommendations to the City Council on the criteria for name placement on the Veterans’ Memorial Wall, on any special exception requests or any issues relating to Veterans’ Memorial Park. The board is charged in the coordination of our Annual Memorial Day Ceremonies and Veterans Day Ceremonies. They were instrumental in having the City of Oldsmar named an official "Purple Heart City".
