Bronze Sculptures of Children
Randolph Rose, New York, 2005
Mobbly Bayou Wilderness Preserve - 423 Lafayette Blvd, Oldsmar
In 2005, the City of Oldsmar purchased eight life-sized statues, sculptured by New York artist Randolph Rose, to display throughout the City’s downtown and parks.
Weighing between 50 to 100 pounds each, the bronze sculptures range from 3 to 6 feet tall, and exhibit children reading books, swinging on tires or other activities. Their colors vary from a dark bronze to a more copper-toned hue. The project cost was $19,000 for the eight selected statues.
