  1. Community Action Forum

    October 3, 2018, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ State Street Center

We want to hear from you! Join our Community Action Forum on plastic pollution. WHO: UF/IFAS Extension Pinellas County is partnering with the City of Oldsmar to host a forum on plastic pollution. WHAT: A forum is simply a place, meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged. An environmental issue forum is where people meet to discuss ideas around an environmental topic. At this forum, we will discuss plastic pollution and how it relates to recycling and conservation behaviors. We will begin by screening a short video 'Straws' and then we will use a place-mat to focus our discussion on plastic pollution. WHY: We want to get your view points and ideas about plastic pollution issues, ideas and solutions, as well as trade-offs to share with your elected officials. NOTE: We will need a minimum of 10 participants to conduct the forum. You will be notified within 24 hours of the event should it be canceled.
