Fluorescent Bulbs: including tubes, compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), “green tip” (low mercury) bulbs and projector bulbs are hazardous waste. If broken or crushed you may be exposed to mercury vapor.
Recycle spiral compact fluorescent bulbs at Home Depot or Lowe’s at the inside returns counter
Recycle fluorescent tubes and non-spiral compact fluorescent bulbs at Pinellas County mobile collection or the HEC3 facility (free for residents).
NOTE: Standard (incandescent) light bulbs may be safely disposed in the regular trash.
