Cypress Lakes Industrial Park (CLIP) is an important part of the City and is ideally situated for redevelopment and Economic Development activities to attract new businesses and retain and assist existing businesses. This site has been created to keep the property owners and business tenants apprised of the activities that are occurring in this area of the City.
WHAT'S NEW! You may have noticed Enhanced Signage at key entrances to the Cypress Lakes Industrial Park which was installed in the first quarter of 2011. This is just one of the steps that the City has taken to creating an identity for this important part of the City.
The City has finalized the details of the Cypress Lakes Industrial Park (CLIP) Property Improvement Matching Grant Program designed to stimulate and leverage investment by businesses in the Cypress Lakes Industrial Park through enhanced appearance and condition of industrial structures and property. This program will provide up to a $10,000 matching grant from the City based on the total value of the project. GREAT NEWS! The City has learned that businesses located in the Cypress Lakes Industrial Park may be eligible for USDA Business and Industry Guaranteed Loans. These loans are available to help lenders extend credit needed to promote economic development and job creation in rural areas. Currently, CLIP is considered a rural area under this program. The City has made and will be making financial commitments to this area. You may have noticed activity by City staff along Douglas Road. The City is investing in improvements on Douglas Road as a first step in it’s commitment to the success of the Cypress Lakes Industrial Park. These improvements include paving and widening the roadway, culverting the drainage ditches, incorporating trees and landscaping, pedestrian scale street lighting, bench seating, and sidewalks/ trails linked to the Oldsmar trail system.
Other future City activities will include:
- Creating a Cypress Lakes Industrial Park website which showcases the businesses in this area and available space for businesses looking to relocate;
- Directory signage to assist in locating businesses;
