Welcome to the City Clerk's page. The City Clerk is appointed by the City Council and is responsible for all City Clerk Department personnel. Our office has quite a few responsibilities.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Attend all meetings of the City Council
- Keep a true and accurate record of City Council meetings
- Print and distribute packets for City Council meetings
- Provide notice of meetings and legally required advertisements
- Administer oaths
- Oversee and maintain official records, including historical and archival records
- Custodian of City Seal
- Attest to all contracts and agreements to which the City is part
- Codification of the City Charter, Code of Ordinances, and Land Development Code
- Attend all meetings of the City advisory boards
- Keep a true and accurate record of City advisory board meetings
- Supervisor of City elections
- File liens and releases
- Perform Assessment Searches
- Coordinate requests for public records
- Provide administrative support to the City Council
- Coordinate the engraving at the Veterans' Memorial Wall
