Guns and Hoses Fundraiser
6th Annual Hot Wing Eating Challenge was held this past Saturday. For the first time, the hoses were hosed by the guns! Great fundraiser for Holiday Sharing Fund. Thanks to those who attended/participated and to Rumba's for hosting.
Thank you to Oldsmar resident Bernie Carnevale, who is moving to Gainesville. On behalf of the City, we wish you the best of luck in your new adventure. His many years of services on our Advisory Boards include:

#OldsmarStrong - Hurricane Irma
A lot has happened since our last Council meeting; when Fire/EMS Chief Dean O'Nale gave an update on Hurricane Irma and the potential impact for Oldsmar and Tampa Bay. Our EOC (Emergency Operations Center) was activated the morning of the 8th and continued until last Friday. Planning and PIO are still active segments; as they work on post-storm information.
Solid Waste/Recycling returned to normal schedule.
Yard debris - self service dumpsters in 3 locations open 7a-7p at:
South Mobbly Beach
Northside of Hayes Road
All parks are now open (Trail still closed) Library, Senior Center, Rec Center are open
We appreciate your patience as we work together with our post hurricane cleanup efforts. It won't happen overnight or in a few weeks. I'm proud of our residents, businesses and city staff for their continued efforts in bringing Oldsmar back to normal.
